(Lincolnton) On November 6, 2025, the Lincoln County Health Director cancelled the Swim Advisory for Eagle Point Lane in Denver.
The advisory was originally issued on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, when approximately 700 gallons of untreated sewage may have flowed into an unnamed cove in Lake Norman after a utility crew bored into a marked low-pressure line at 4655 Eagle Point Lane, Denver. The decision to cancel the Advisory is based on daily water sample testing conducted by Lincoln County Public Works from the sites at the affected area. Lincoln County Environmental Health was notified today that two consecutive samples showed test results below the required maximum levels and all sampling at these sites now meet the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality standards, therefore the Swim Advisory has been lifted.
The general public can receive these type of notices by enrolling in Lincoln Alerts on the County website.
