A C-54 plane flown in the Berlin Airlift touched down on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 at the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Airport.
The plane is now a traveling museum. In an effort led by Senator Ted Alexander, the plane picked up and loaded new toys donated by the community and flew them to the Asheville Airport on November 12th.
