Lincoln County and the City Of Lincolnton kicked off the renovation project for our beautiful Historic Courthouse.
Part of the work will include, waterproofing the interior and exterior of the building, replacing the doors and windows in accordance to the building’s original style, updating utilities infrastructure both water and sewer, mechanical plumbing and electrical work.
Soon, construction fencing will be installed outside the entire structure while crews continue their renovation work approved by both City Council and County Commissioners.
We understand the Historic Courthouse is the heart of our downtown and community, and having a temporary construction fence placed around it isn’t ideal for anyone, but it is required by code as a matter of public safety. Please bear with us and the construction crews as they work diligently inside on the renovations.
