At 12:30 pm on January 31, 2024, the Lincoln County Health Director lifted the water activity advisory originally issued on January 26, 2024 for a sewage spill at 2392 Smith Harbour Dr. Denver, North Carolina.
A wastewater spill occurred due to a failure at a lift station. Testing conducted by Killian Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant indicate fecal coliform counts are at an acceptable risk level and the public can resume water activities in this area.
