Posted on: June 28, 2019[ARCHIVED] CANCELLATION OF SWIM ADVISORY NOTICE IN LINCOLN COUNTY
At 3:00 PM on June 28, 2019, the Lincoln County Health Director cancelled the Swimming Advisory issued on June 26, 2019 for an unnamed cove in Lake Norman at 8025 Island View Court, Denver, North Carolina, in the Westport Subdivision.
This decision to cancel the Advisory is based on water sample testing conducted by Lincoln County Public Works. Lincoln County Environmental Health was notified today that two consecutive water samples taken from the affected area indicated fecal coliform counts below the maximum allowable contaminant level (<200 parts per billion). This meets North Carolina Division of Water Quality standards and therefore the Swim Advisory has been lifted.
