Lincoln County nonprofit organizations can submit applications for grants worth up to $10,000 each to the Lincoln County Allied Waste Non-Profit Grant Committee. Applications are accepted between January 12, 2009 and April 10, 2009.
Applications are available at the Main Branch, East Lincoln Branch and West Branch of the Lincoln County Public Library; the James W. Warren Citizens Center and here.
Allied Waste provides $50,000 in funding for the program as part of its January 2004 franchise agreement to operate the Lake Norman Landfill. The landfill handles construction and demolition waste.
