Scott Mahler Headshot

Lincoln County Manager Davin W. Madden announced today that Scott Mahler has been named as the Lincoln County Airport Manager. Mahler is an aviation professional with over 40 years of experience in both military and commercial sectors.

A U.S. Air Force veteran and FAA-licensed Airframe & Powerplant technician, he held maintenance roles with Pan Am and most recently served as Manager of Maintenance Operations at Eastern Airlines. Mahler also served as Vice President of an FAA 145 Repair Station, where he led efforts to improve aircraft reliability and streamline operations. Throughout his career, he has consistently driven organizational efficiency and operational excellence.

“The Lincoln County Regional Airport is a new endeavor for the County, and I feel that Scott will bring the right energy and experience to support airport operations, customers, and staff. Scott has extensive experience in the aviation environment, and we are excited to see the value he brings to our airport as services develop and grow,” said County Manager Davin Madden. “After years in larger hubs, I was craving a place where relationships matter, and growth feels intentional. I see this airport not just as a gateway, but as a cornerstone for regional growth - and I'm honored to help shape the future," said Scott Mahler. “Scott brings a wealth of experience with him to Lincoln County.  His work ethic and energy will be a solid addition to an already great place and staff. I look forward to working with him to continue the great service provided at the Lincoln County Regional Airport,” said Assistant County Manager Clay Henley.

Mahler comes to Lincoln County from Pennsylvania. Mahler’s son and grandchildren live in Troutman, and Mahler is looking forward to spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
