[ARCHIVED] STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED

State of Emergency Declared

(Lincolnton) Lincoln County Board of Commissioner Chairwoman Cathy Davis has declared a State of Emergency for Lincoln County effective at 10:15 a.m. Friday, September 27th, 2024 due to Hurricane Helene.

In coordination, City of Lincolnton Mayor Ed Hatley also declared a State of Emergency for the City of Lincolnton effective 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 27th, 2024. The declaration enables Lincoln County Emergency Services to implement coordinated response and recovery efforts. 

Lincoln County Emergency Services has activated the Emergency Operations Center and will remain active for the duration of the storm. Emergency Services ask the public to stay vigilant to several downed trees, downed power lines and flooded roads in our community.
